Hello everyone. I am a long time stalker of this forum who has gained loads of useful information from it, but now my wife and I need some help specific to OUR lotl, so here I am.

The pictures show Lizzie Borden, our albino GFP axie who we've had for around 11 months or so. The prior owner had her for 6 or 7 months before that, and I don't know how long the owner before THEM had her, but they tell me "she" was full grown at the time they got "her." All this is to say, I'm sure "she" is old enough to make a positive gender identification.

She's a little underweight in my opinion, body just barely narrower than her head, which may be affecting my ability to accurately determine it myself. I am trying to fatten her up on worms as we speak, but it's her leaner build that's making me question if she really is a she after all.

Anyway, if a group of people with greater experience than mine can look at these images and let me know what they think, I'd greatly appreciate the help in knowing if she really is a Lizzie, or actually a Larry in disguise. Thanks all!

I vote for Larry, after seeing the last picture

Uh oh, that's going to completely change the lore of our household.

More importantly, we are considering getting a second lotl, so we're trying to keep it the same gender to avoid any breeding mishaps. The last picture is also what gave me doubts. Is this common for a male to look male from above but not the sides?

I don't know. Maybe it depends of how plump it is.
It's difficult to be sure until the male looks definitively male.

I have an adult leucistic pair who just bred this spring for the 1rst time.
Before that, I thought the big bellied was a female and the slender a male.
In fact, the reverse was true...

Axies are such sneaky beasts. It almost feels like it will be a dice roll whichever way we go.
