Little one refusing food

Hi everyone!

My adult axie has not eaten anything by herself in a few weeks. She has lost a lot of weight. I have force fed her a few times, but I am afraid I'm doing her more harm than good. She is an older baby, approximately 8-8.5 yrs. The only thing I've found wrong with the tank parameters is some difficult with the nitrate, which has been stabilizing with water changes. Her tank mate has been entirely unbothered and is eating normally.
I suspect she may have some faulty genetics, as she is a gfp, but she doesn't heal from injury like an axolotl should, so she lost her gills a few years ago.
Any ideas? Am I causing her to suffer?

What have you tried feeding her? Try varying her diet.

She normally has worms, but I have tried ghost shrimp, blood worms, and sinking pellets. She's not having any of it. I've been giving her repashy as a last resort

That's about what I would have recommended. Scuds and isopods might be something else to try. For some reason lots of salamanders smell terrestrial isopods when you put them in the water and go after them fast.
