Help! Accidentally put acidic soil in slimy salamander enclosure!

Hello, I have a slimy salamander-- i accidentally put acidic soil in the enclosure and didnt realize till after (less than a hour), i got him out and put him in a sterile bin with moist paper towel. Any other steps I should take???

What do you mean by acidic? They are found in fairly acidic soils in the forests they inhabit. I observed large numbers of them in PA and WV where soil PH is fairly acidic.

Ohh!? What i was reading, it said acidic soil could kill them and i guess i just took that as fact! Weird!!
