My parents took me to a beautiful village this afternoon, and while they took a stroll, i went herp searching and flower seeking.
Not much luck, but i did find some beautiful plant species that i never get tired of seeing, and a beautiful baby Natrix maura.
The poor newborn was all defensive after being caught by a lumbering bearded monster and it regurgitated its last meal, 7 LIVE Bufo bufo tadpoles. I picked them up and put them in the water and they seemed unscathed
However, and i think this might be a first, it didn´t cover me in their lovely anal scent. I think we bonded.
Here are a couple of pictures of the baby N.maura and its meal, and a couple of beautiful flowers (Digitalis purpurea and Dianthus sp.).
