My parents took me to a beautiful village this afternoon, and while they took a stroll, i went herp searching and flower seeking.
Not much luck, but i did find some beautiful plant species that i never get tired of seeing, and a beautiful baby Natrix maura.
The poor newborn was all defensive after being caught by a lumbering bearded monster and it regurgitated its last meal, 7 LIVE Bufo bufo tadpoles. I picked them up and put them in the water and they seemed unscathed o_O
However, and i think this might be a first, it didn´t cover me in their lovely anal scent. I think we bonded.
Here are a couple of pictures of the baby N.maura and its meal, and a couple of beautiful flowers (Digitalis purpurea and Dianthus sp.).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
