Hey all! Looking for some advice regarding our 5 year old axolotl Pixel. Recently he’s (we think) developed wart like bumps on his tummy and around his cloaca - I’ll attach pictures although they aren’t great angles and it’s better to look at his reflection underneath him. They have just appeared over the last 3 to 4 days. The water parameters are perfect - we took a sample to our local aquatic shop to check them. Temperature is in and around 19 degrees celsius, last water change Sunday (before sample was checked). He’s active, eating well and doesn’t seem distressed. Unfortunately where we are from we don’t have a lot of exotic vets. We’ve phoned a few and one said they’d look at him but it’s an hours drive from where we live, I will ofc take him if necessary but getting him there might be difficult and cause him a lot of stress.
I’m absolutely terrific of losing him so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Angie & Pixel
