as far as i know they do well in a similar set up to fire bellied toads there are pics of set ups for them on this site, also just google semi aquatic setups and youl see a few,
They can be kept in encloures that are moist and only have a water bowl to full aquaterrariums.
They can even be easily housed in tanks on unbleached paper towels with a hide box and a water bowl..
I got one at home in a 54l tank and this is my setup for it ...shoud i have more water in the tank ? ...i have tried that once, and he didnt very often got into the water. is this setup okay ?
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
