Albino Andrias japonicus

It can't be albino - it has melanin.

Hi all my girlfriend is Japanese and had a look for me at the info: Basically is a private animal, the owner was hoping it was gonna be "white". Then he kind of complain about the foreigners (gaijin) who comment on the video about the small amount of water... that is correct. He also ask for "Us" to writhe in English and that was it pretty much really...last thig I think he mentioned it was 30 cm long.
Is anybody breeding those in the UK or Europe guys?
Thanks
dan

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
