Hi. I have some questions on how to keep these salamanders. Thanks :)
  1. What size tank do you need to keep these?
  2. What type setup do you need?
  3. What is their diet?
  4. What decor can I put in the tank. (plants, cork bark, etc)

1. If you just want 1 then it can be kept in a standard 10 gallon. If you want 2 or 3 then you'll need at least a 20 gallon long tank.
2. Terrestrial
3. Worms, isopods, crickets, wax worms.
4. You need at least a couple of items for them to hide under.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
