Hi all, don't really know what I'm asking for help with but really just looking for anyone else with experience in their salamanders eating plants?

I'm guessing no one has any experience with them eating succulents either but that's what just happened to me and my 3yo adult eastern tiger salamander. I had put the leaf in the terrarium to root out a little and to also see if it would even establish and grow in such a humid environment. To my surprise when I looked today it had been growing a lot more than the ones just left on my desk. while looking at the roots I dropped it and my salamander snatched it immediately. I did my best to try and coax him to regurgitate it to no effect.

I am concerned only about the chemicals/compounds that could be harmful to my salamander, I don't really care that he ate general plant matter but succulents always concern me when pets nibble on them so this is alarming for me. I will be keeping a very close eye on him over the next few weeks, or at least until there are three visible poops. I will go through poop and see if it affects consistency/color and track when they happen. If anyone has literally any experience with their salamanders, specifically tiger salamanders eating plants I would greatly appreciate any help/advice. If I notice anything alarming or more than I feel I can handle I will go directly to a vet.

Hopefully, all goes well and this can serve as a small case study on the safety of certain plants in terrariums!

I have noticed some twitching/ contractions happening around the sides of his abdomen. He will take in a breath, hold it, and then his side will twitch a few times before he releases the breath and it stops. I don't know if this is part of his regular digestive routine or if it is new, but he seems to be anticipating the twitches rather than reacting to them.
Otherwise, he is doing fine 24 hours after and is out begging for food as usual. no change in overall response time or activity.
Also, to be clear, he does have other live plants with him, barley and oat grass pop up occasionally in the wet part and there are tradescantia and pothos growing in the upper section, he has never intentionally gone after the plants and has always spat it out when accidentally grabbed. My thought is that the echeveria was small enough and felt enough like a worm/grub in his mouth which caused him to fully swallow it.
