I have lost several axlotls due to fungus I think I have figured out how to care for that but they seem to keep getting these anchor worms and other than pulling them out I'm not sure how to get rid of them or prevent the axolotls from getting them. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Are there any fish living in with the axies? If so, they are likely the source of the anchor worm. You really should consult a vet, as removing them yourself is stressful to the axie and could injure it.
