Studies on Chinese Salamanders (Hardcover, 1988)

it runs about 18$ and its not very thick - there is another bigger one (nate knows it) on all herps in china -this has a more detailed data even though is it dividing it with other herps.
i have a copy of the skinnier book -plus i gave one to swantje (swan)..i found out from barnes though - if you are willing to risk this - if you order a book like this and dont come to pick it up ..they put it on the 1$ rack

Amphibians of Western China-Liu. 1950'ish.
I have a photocopy of the caudata section, it describes: Megalobatrachus davidanus (Andrias) Hynobius shihi, Batrachuperus...5 species, Tylototriton kweichowensis, taliangensis, and verrucosus, Triturus wolterstorffi.
Atlas of Amphibians of China. 1999. ISBN 7-5349-1835-9/G-471
For identification only, with colour plates, and distribution maps. Unless you are fluent in the local dialect.
