Hi! Sorry I’ve been posting a lot of here, I promise I’m not incompetent😂😂 I tested my axies tank this morning, and, I don’t know if this is possible, but any ideas how much longer my tank will have to cycle? We are dosing stability, would a EcoBio block speed cycling up anymore? Here are my ammonia and nitrites.

I haven’t actually tested the nitrate yet. No, will a heater speed it up? We have a extra from a former betta tank

Yes a heater will help speed it up!

Set about 76-78 degrees.

the bacteria colonizes best in tropical temperatures but you have to slowly turn it down once you are cycled and continue feeding the cycle although not as high.

Okay! I’ll put that in right now. Would a bio block help at all, or do you think a heater will do the trick?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
