Whether their axolotls go for certain types of plants more than others? I have an Anubis nana, Java fern and java moss and they basically ignore the moss and fern and fight over the Anubis!

Greebo spends a lot of time sitting in/on the Anubis and when Toothless goes for that plant he immediately comes over to barge him back off it! I've seen this happen several times with toothless going back for the plant again and again with Greebo refusing to budge or actively trying to nudge Toothless off the plant or his back, (as when the plant is unavailable he will land on Greebo instead).

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
