I'm wondering if anyone here have any experience using Aquaclay as substrate in an (semi-)aquatic setup housing caudates or anurans?

I'm starting a rather heavily planted tank that will be housing a group of Pipa carvalhoi and I'm mostly concerned if the Aquaclay will be bad for the frogs in any way (too rough on their skin, dangers of the frogs ingesting it during feeding etc).

Sorry I have no advice just trying to get your post noticed...Have you tried a search of the forums, maybe the question has been asked before.

No post left behind!!!!

tomkeogh - Thankyou for your answer. Since I posted this question here, I have talked to one person who have kept both Pipa carvalhoi and Hymenochirus boettgeri with Aquaclay as substrate, and he said that there were no problems. I have also watched a videoclip on another forum of someone keeping Pipa sp. with a substrate that I strongly suspect is Aquaclay. This product have become rather popular among aquarists here in Sweden.
