Hi guys!

I recently acquired two baby axies and I'm looking to move them into some bigger digs than the little tubs they came in. I have a 3 gallon aquaponics tank that I was thinking I might move them into. Would this be alright to put them in? Thanks!

Hi CrazyCritterGal,

Ive had my axolotls in an aquaponics style before, was growing really simple stuff like watercress, coriander etc - grew brilliant and water was really clear. Although they are adults in a 4 ft tank outside.

Aquaponics no problem - but the baby/ juveniles together/ or with other creatures (eating each other), access to small stones (eating them), rate of growth into the 3 gallons, temperature, etc is something to look at if you haven't already.

All the best with it! :)
