I have recently returned from holiday during which i was worried about my t. shanjing as this was the first time i had left them with someone unlike my veteran c. orientalis, however the newts are fine and healthy.
When i returned i noticed that all three newts are pretty active and spending all their time underwater.
Now wether this behavior is breeding related or not, i don't know, however just in case it is i'd like to know of any types of aquatic plants favoured by tylototriton for egglaying.
At the moment i have java moss and elodea
