I noticed my male Tylo cf kweichow's cloaca open and all white inside. Is this a sign him laying a spermatophore. Does any one have a video or pics of
Tylototriton CF. kweichowensis breeding or have information of what happens. How will i know. I noticed it after i lowered the water for a water change to about 2-3 inches deep. There is also a pic of my females cloaca, is it normal for it to be that big? There is a pic of the water before the change and after the change. I got them a new tank and am trying a new design. It is a 40 gallon breeder. Any tank recommendations are great. Please respond soon!!!

Thanks Frogman

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
