ARGHH!! unknown tank mate

So i found a triops with my axie tank (only 1) and it was hella cute so i kept it he was greenish in color and thinking that there maybe more triops living in will it hurt my axie?

Which species are we talking about? Could you post a pic as triops can grow to a vast array of sizes, and identifying exactly which one we're taking about will really help us to determine if the little mite needs his own habitat...

i cannot take a picture of it it's too small and it looks like a UFO floating around the water it has legs also and i believe that these triops are the species same as the triop kits

I personally would remove it. I've owned triops and they are pretty aggressive even when small and can kill small fish. I would be nervous of the triops nibbling on your axies gills or skin.

then where did it come from??? how did it spawn just there and he was the only one in , and also i removed it and thinking it would be a cool pet so i kept it.....

Have you introduced new plants into the tank? I've got a LOT of snails in my fish tank which must have been stowed away in with my new plants.Or any live food like blood worm? I had some weird little creature in with my live blood worms. I'd keep it as a pet too hehe

Whenever I've had triops I got and hatched them from dried up eggs but I imagine if you've put in a new plant, or a piece of driftwood that wasnt sterilized properly(boiling), live foods, or questionable dried foods then its possible to have introduced eggs. If you've taken water from an outside source like a river or pond then thats also a possibility.
