Arms growing

Hi,

I noticed some of my newt larvae have started growing their front arms, should I be providing land for them now or is that later when their gills start to shrink? They're still tiny so I was suprised to see their front legs growing so soon after hatching.

They won't be going onto land with gills and only two front legs so I would wait till you see some gill shrinkage and back legs before adding land.

They will have all 4 arms for a long time before they morph. If they are firebellies, it is likely to be about 3 months from hatching to morph.
