Axie fell onto the floor...

My full size malanoid took a 3 foot fall while transferring him to his new 20 gallon tank. He ran under a table, and was out of the tank for less than a minute.

Only obvious damage is a small chunk missing from his tail, but what concerns me is the fact that he hasn't moved since I put him back in his new tank over an hour ago. He is sitting in a corner, constantly fanning his gills. He isn't even paying attention to the salmon pellet that is balanced between his nose and the tank.

Other than that, his body and gills have good color
What should I do in this situation?

I would just wait it out and keep a close eye on him. When I was at the pet shop getting one of my babies, the shop keeper dropped him about 4 feet onto the floor. He was pretty stressed for a while, but he turned out fine.
Like I said, keep a close eye on him and if you think he needs it, maybe pop him in the fridge. He probably just needs recovery time.

He's probably a bit freaked out by the whole experience. Give him a bit of time and breathing space and I'm sure he'll come around.

Keep an eye on him for the next few days just in case but I doubt he's done himself any serious mischief.

Hopefully he will be fine with some rest. Maybe keep him in the dark for a while to let him recover.

24 hours later, he still hasn't moved much. During the night he switched from one side of the tank towards to more covered area, and has sat there all day and fanned his gills. He hasn't even come up for air, and is uninterested in live and pellet food.
He is sitting with all four legs upturned, meaning he is resting fully on his belly, with all legs facing back, 'palms' up.

I have wondered about fridging him, but I really don't want to stress him out even more by trying to get a 13" ,already freaked out and potentially injured, axie out of a tank.

Give him a few more days and hopefully he will come round. Keep tempting him with food. Hope he recovers soon.

One of mine wriggled out of my girlfriends hand and hit the wall then the floor when we were moving house. He showed similar signs but after a while he went back to normal. Good luck to you.
