Axol Very Sick! Please Help!

yeah 7 years is a long time without having fungus! I've actually never used melafix but i've heard from a few people on here that it works, as long as you halve the dose recommended for fish. Not sure *how* to use it sorry.

I went to get Axol out of the fridge today and things weren't looking very good... He was tipped to the side and unusually still... I put him in his salt bath (even then he didn't squiggle around like normal)- I then added a couple of drops of Melafix to his water before putting him back in the fridge. I checked on him a while ago and he was looking a little better but being realistic, I am sad to say I think his days are numbered

Thank you all for your help with him - Hoping for a bit of a miracle now... but unfortunately not too hopeful...

Seems that yesterdays prediction was accurate... Axol has gone to that big aquarium in the sky... So it's nice to think that he gets to spend Valentines day with his first mate Hubcap and he is no longer suffering...
On a different note I finally got Mouse to eat his bloodworms from my hand today... He is looking really happy in his tank with some new plants... His Gills are growing back also...
I will be contacting management at the Aquarium that sold him to me though to let them know that he was sick when we got him... Hopefully if I can make them aware of this no one else will end up with the problem that I did...

hey karen sorry to hear about axol

. good to hear that mouse is eating well and being healthy. and you right about axol he will be in a huge tank in the sky with worms everywhere and lots of freinds
