Hi im gettin axolotl eggs soon and i hv alot of questions:
axolotl eggs:
Do you have to put an air pump in?
Do you perform water changes daily?
Light source?
What comfortable temperature would you consider for the eggs?
Do i put them in a small container for easy feeding/cleaning?

Axolotl hatchlings:
Whats the best diet for them? BBS, daphnia, microworms ect
Would they need an air pump or can you jst change their water daily?
Would they need a heater?
Source of light?

Thanks :)

Eggs are fine in a small container of water left at room temp, no need for light or to change the water, If the room is on the warm side they will hatch sooner than if the room is on the cool side. No heater is needed. If you want to add a very slow air source it wont hurt anything.

When they hatch they are good in a small plastic container so it is easy to feed them at least once a day better if it is morning and night and clean their container once a day. I think BBS are the best since they are small and very nutritious. daphnia are great but only if they are small enough to be eaten. regular room light is fine but like adults they do not need a light source nor a heater.

Do some searches and some more homework. Here is a good start.
