Axolotl Feeding Dish

Any tips on teaching Axolotl to eat out of feeding dish? Should I just leave the food in there and let him/her find it? My tank is heavily planted and it’s hard to fish through everything to try to drop food directly in front of him without him freaking out. The dish is glass and lays at the bottom

Try leaving it in on the dish over night. Or try tempting him to come to it at night. If he doesn't, leave it on the dish over night.
