Axolotl Growth.

i would think that it is possible that he is done growing not necessarily a dwarf just small from what i have read 8-9 inches is about average for axies so it wouldn't be a leap to think that some just stay smaller...
who knows, i wonder if you also found a small female you could produce mini axies down the line....
i am not recommending you do try to start the pocket axie line its just a thought

Hi all long time since I have been on but just had to comment on this thread.
firstly I stand by my original statement, Just like every other animal species there is always a possibility of those that are destined to be big and those that are destined tto be small.
I still have my adults from the original posts and they are still that length my juvenile I dont know as he was sold, but, in the next brood I kept 8 of which I still have 4. These are now 3 years old, they are fed on earth worms which is the closest thing to their natural diet, with the occasional treat of blood worm, not for nutrition but just to give them something to hunt around for, now, all of these are small 3 are approx 3-4 inches the 4th is slightly larger at approximately 5 inches, they have remained this size for the last 18 months, they very well might grow larger but they will never be the size of my older adults they are just naturally smaller. they get fed the same as my adults but just seem to be quite content to stay as they are.
