My Lucy axolotl whom is 8 month old. Has had small red dots on her skin now for a week or two now. I took her to the vet twice they said they don’t really know. He eats fine and seems happy. he’s in a 33 long with sand temp 60-63 ph 7.6

honestly i don’t know what it could be. could be natural pigment or could be like an allergic reaction to the substrate. not an expert, i’d try a different vet maybe?

have you added anything new to the tank? switched dechlorinators?
what are your water parameters? ammonia, nitrites, nitrates

overall, she looks very healthy so I just want to get a baseline of your aquarium conditions.

its possible its just her natural pigmentation changing, especially if you've had no new environmental changes and her behavior and appetite have remained the same.

There was an environment change I upgraded from a 15 to a 33 long. But kept the same layout. She eats 4 worms a day the vet said the spots aren’t raised too. I use prime btw I forgot to answer thatz

if you changed the tank, that'd a big deal. not a bad thing by any means, but you will need to monitor you water parameters very closely. Are you using the same filter as your old tank? or did you change that as well?
