Axolotl has no tail ... Help!

my axolotl became ill at the beginning of the week losing all of its weight and his gills looking very sickly. I have managed to get it to recover but when I came down to my tank today it had lost all but the base cm of its tail. is there anything I can do to help my axie ??? will its tail regrow???

Can you post a picture?

Sounds like a general water quality issue - have you tested your parameters? What are they?

my paraments are normal as have been for a long time. she is in with 5 others of varying sizes(in a large tank), her being the smallest. all of the others are perfectly healthy when it began i thought the larger axies could have bullied her out of her food so began feeding her separatly... i have separated her now for time being.... best photo i can get for now.

That axie is emaciated. Can you try to feed earthworms or even some waxworms also?

she is a lot better then she was and is on the road to recovery(she has been skinny since i got her as she had swallowed substrate in the shop i bought her from... she is in a separate tank now to the others and i am feeding her up, my main concern is the tail.

It looks like the tail was initially damaged by another axolotl. Keep the water clean and cool and maybe add some Indian Almond/ Catappa leaves as well. If it appears to have fungus ( looks a little like fluffy cotton wool) use can regular tap water to treat it.
This axolotl is very underweight and needs something far more nutritious than bloodworm, offer her some small earthworm twice a day. She needs a good diet to help her recover.

thankyou, I have tried different things with her but she only seems to eat bloodworms and river shrimp. I will be getting more river shrimp tomorrow as the shop isn't open today.
