Your axolotl is not pregnant, axolotls can't get pregnant. She can be fat with eggs but they cannot get pregnant. Axolotl mate by the male placing spermatophores around the tank and then doing a "mating dance" to lead or entice the female over these. This fertilizes the eggs and then the female will begin to lay the eggs usually within 24hrs.
Therefore, for future reference, if you had to fridge it wouldn't be in any way harmful to your axolotl in regards to it being "pregnant". As for the gill, keep a close eye out for fungus (the gill will begin to go fluffy. As soon as you see this occur begin salt baths. A sticky can be located at the top of the sick axolotl section. If you want to prevent fungus and you are positive there is no fungus currently you could put some tea in the tank. This will help prevent fungus and will not be harmful to either your female or your male.
As for your male, it can be normal but a picture would help. If he continues to do this over a period of time such as 24hrs then seek further help but if hes just started and after a little while moves then it could just be a weird position he found "comfy"... After all, axolotl do find some pretty funky sitting positions.
