Hello, I've had my axie Wooper for about 3 years now, and today I just noticed some sort of white fungus on his gills. I worry this might have been caused by the increase in the warmer weather, and thus his tank becoming too warm. I usually have a little probe cooler to keep the tank cool but mine broke and I haven't been able to get a new one. I'm really worried, and I'm not really sure what to do. It's only on one gill and it's quite recent (might've appeared in the last 1-2 days?) besides this he seems normal, though I haven't seen him eat today so I'm keeping an eye on that. I also put a bit of cooler temp water inside the tank and now I have a little air conditioner blowing on the tank. What can I do to treat this?
Edit: I plugged my cooling probe back in to see if it works again and after a few minutes it fixed itself. It makes me really mad, but at least it's back to helping with the tank temp now. Also a bit later I decided to do the big water change today rather than tomorrow, and when I put him in his separate little container I decided to try to feed him and sure enough, he had a lot of energy and want to eat (I guess he just didn't spot the food I put in his tank earlier). A majority of the fungus also fell off naturally and I wiped more off with a q-tip. There's only a tiny bit more that's still clinging tightly that I wasn't able to get off, and I would go get un iodized salt right now but the stores are closed. I'll put an update here about how he is in the morning, but I hope that this is a good sign and that perhaps it'll just go, especially after the water change. I really don't want to put him through a salt bath process. Some advice would still be greatly appreciated on here though.
