Axolotl injury

I posted a thread earlier explaining this more but my axolotl was attacked by my cat. He is doing well but has some injury's and is in a tub of clean water with a bubbler and Indian almond leaves. He is going to the vet but my question is does anyone have any suggestions on what type of antibiotics i could put in the water to help prevent infections.

honestly your best bet right now is probably just the IALs, the vet will prescribe anything they see fit. antibiotics are typically not great as a preventative as they can actually make the animal more sick in some cases or the animal may build up immunity to them meaning they will not do much good and there will be less options if the antibiotics are needed in the future. just keep up with the clean, cool water and IALs

Cat bites can have a lot of bacteria , a vet will prescribe the antibiotics needed. Almond leaves will do little to prevent infection from a deep wound.
