Hey! So I ended up getting a few axies that were a little under weight and had rough looking gills. I have had them for about a week and have been trying to pump the food to them. Their gills are already looking better, but I don’t think they have ever had live food. They were being fed frozen bloodworms, and I now have them on earth worms. They don’t want to take a full worm, so I’ve been cutting them into 4ths. I can get them to eat 1/4 of a earthworm every 2-3 days. Obviously they aren’t starving, or else they would be eating everything, but I’m just wondering if it is worth getting them used to the live food, or if I should try something else.

Hi,
What you do is well.
Getting your animals used to diverse food, live and not, is a good thing.
Live food is often more attractive and more nutricious but there are some periods when live food availability is scarse.
