I've been trying to hand-feed Kimchi (he's still very young) but every time I try to, he refuses. It's not like he's scared of my hand, though. He just circles around my hand, sniffs the food, then turns his nose up and swims the other way in a very sassy manor. (LOL) I've been feeding him these very healthy brine shrimp sticks that I've broken in half so they fit his mouth. He refuses them when hand fed, but when I suck them up with the turkey baster he gobbles them up! (No pun intended) I want him to be ready for when he starts being hand fed earthworms and other foods when he's an adult, but he's just too sassy! I'm not worried or anything, but I'm just curious to know as to why he's acting this way?

It is probably movement related. They like when the food moves which is what the turkey baster does. If you are just holding it in you hand it won't look as appealing. However (because it is bigger) if you move you hand around to wiggle it then it might make too much water movement and frighten it. Try holding it just above his head and dropping it in front of his mouth.
