A few days ago I posted this:
http://www.caudata.org/forum/f46-be...177-lotl-stressed-because-new-tank-mates.html

It's in regards to my axolotl not eating. The one thing some were thinking that caused it was that my ammonia was high (.5)
I've been doing the necessary water changes, added bacteria supplement, and a bit of aquarium salt and I'm just waiting for the ammonia to go down.

HOWEVER,
I can't help but have this gut feeling that it isn't the water that's making him refuse food.
I've tried pellets, blood worms, red wigglers, and a cut up nightcrawler earthworm. He's just not taking it.
While I'm waiting for my ammonia to get in check, are there other things I should be trying? I really don't have room for a quarantine tank recently as my cousin just moved in.

My two other axolotls in the same tank are perfectly fine. They all appear to get along fine, no bullying or food competition.

If anyone has any other ideas as to what it could be, would be appreciated.
Thanks.:(

"I'm just waiting for the ammonia to go down " is the axolotl in a tank full of ammonia or has it been switched to a seperate tank ?
