So a horrible accident happened. So this particular axalotle was given to me by someone who mo linger wanted it. The person said she was bought in 2007. She is a female ludistic axalotle. When I got her she was severely under weight, missing an eye, and had her gills bitten off by fish.
I quickly gave her her own tank and started on feeding twice a day live foods. She was doing much better, until recently my cat nocked the hood into the tank, hitting the axalotl and breaking her tail clean off!
There was a little blood but shes alive and eating. I feel so bad for her, already had a horrible life and now this!! :errr:
So few questions, what can I do to help her recover? Should I do salt baths to keep away infection? Should I pop her in the fridge right away? Will it ever regrow?
This poor old girl,
