Hello everyone! I hope you're having a good day!

So I now have a plan laid out to cycle my tank and now all I need is a tank, which leads me to my question. I plan on getting two axolotls so I'm ether going to get a 20 long or a 30 long. I'd love to go with a 40 really but there is just no room for that and I still have yet to see if a 30 long would fit. (Crossing my fingers it will!) Anyway, I'm struggling to find a tank to use. I'd love to get an acrylic tank since they last longer and look nicer. I don't want any sort of background on the tank but if it was just black or blue I could live with it. I would like if the tank came with a built in lid with a light that could come off or lift up for cleaning and feeding purposes. I've been trying to find a tank like this but have failed. I was hoping someone had any recommendations or knew where I could find a tank like this.

Thank You! :p

For 2 axolotls, I would do at least 30 gallons. When you say 40 do you mean 40 long? Because a regular 40 is only 6 inches longer than a 20 long and would be more than perfect for 2 axolotls. Either way, I'd say a 30 gal minimum. My axolotl is alone in a 20g long and it almost looks too small for just her, let alone 2! :p

I have two adults in a 20 long and they are happy and healthy. A 20 long has the same footprint as a 29 gallon but is not as deep; this has made it possible for me to keep the temperature of the water cooler than my house by attaching a small fan alongside the tank and angling it at the water surface. I wouldn't be able to chill a deeper tank the same way, so this has pretty much been a perfect setup for my purposes.
