Axolotl Tea Tank

My axolotl contracted some fungus so I have him tubbed and have been performing 100% daily water changes and two 15 minute tea baths twice a day. I’m wondering if I could add almond leaves to my axolotls regular to make it like a tea dark water tank. I have read a few older post about this in the forum but wanted to see for myself. I read it can be a great way to prevent it and they welcome the darkness. Any advice would be appreciated!
