So I got my axie, ChouChou, about 2 months ago and he has grown substantially. He eats he swims and I love catching him while yawning. The last thing I want him is to be stressed. I'm quite worried because he curls his gills alot. Now I have done alot of research about how it can be stressed but is also common in younger axies. The thing is he seems to have these huge gills and hes always swaying them back almost like its hard for him to keep them back. Everything seems normal. Water flow is gentle I have a very nice chiller that like those refrigerator ones so I can set the temperature to whatever i want and i usually keep it between 60 and 65 degrees F. So please I love him so much!

They're just curled because they're so long :)

Longer gills tend to curl a lot easier and not necessarily because it's stressed. Still wouldn't hurt to double check your water parameters, but I think your axie is fine :)
