Hi, I recently rescued three adult axolotl's who are nice colored, plump and seemingly healthy. Then...gravel in the bottom of the tank. I texted up the person I got them from who has had them since they were babies and asked her if they were on gravel before I got them..she sadly said yes.
Now all three of them dont seem to be in any distress. Theyre all eating, moving and otherwise behaving normally but there's gravel appearing over night every day. Does anyone have any experience in helping push that stuff out? Should I just wait it out over time since they seem to be having no issues? Theyre under my window (and its flipping COLD outside) so theyre staying nice and chilled. Is there anything else I can do to help my new kids?
