Hello,

I’m a new axie mom to my baby Hongo , and recently I think I injured my baby by accident 😓. I didn’t know that we aren’t supposed to use nets to move them to clean out their water. I didn’t notice until later that night that his fingers are looking like this. He seems to be okay, eating / pooping / approaching me / no signs of stress. But I noticed he isn’t putting much weight on his little toes. I am wondering if anyone knows if I should take any further steps or if he might heal on his own? I’m also curious to know how he might heal?
Again no signs of stress and he is eating pooping , everything normal, just not applying pressure to his toes. I was definitely very anxious yesterday, any piece of information or tip definitely helps ! Thank you

He will probably heal up just fine within a couple months. Axolotls truly have amazing regenerative properties. Just keep an eye out for any signs of infection and any unusual behaviors 😁

He looks so little, doubt he even has bones in those little fingers. That's probably why they can move around like that. Are they always shaped like that, or do they move around? Maybe they even grew like that and that's just the way they will be. I wouldn't worry.

They were never shaped like that, they changed to that after the incident with the net, but right now he seems to be walking fine and he’s moving around okay !
