Bachelor Tank? (Two boys in a 20)

So I have two boys in a tank, well, what I'm 99% sure is two boys. I just noticed the younger one, Nugget, who's just about a year old now, displaying mating behavior in front of his mother. So, I figured he is in fact a he, and not a she like I suspected. However, I had him in a tank with my other male (his father) who is about twice his age and Ogo has been non stop trying to breed with Nugget.

Should I be worried about this or will this just happen with two males? Is it a dominance thing?

If a question like this has been answered before and I just didn't see it you can feel free to link me to that as an answer.

Don't worry about this, it is quite normal.
I have 3 mature males in a 200 litre (50g) tank. I saw some slightly disturbing behaviour a few months ago and posted a similar question. The response from a very experienced keeper/breeder can be seen in the link.

I have seen my three feeling frisky all at the same time. The tank was in chaos with each one trying to nudge both of the others at the same time. At one point one of them got their head right underneath the belly of another and kind of nudged/threw him up into the open water above the hides. It was quite worrying, and lasted for nearly an hour. I think they wore themselves out, so then I had time to start cleaning up the spermatophores. Great.
I don't think it's a dominance thing (prepared to be corrected on that), I get the impression that it's just a sort of "anything female axolotl shaped" (including logs and male axolotls) thing.

I hope that this has offered some reassurance that the behaviour is normal for axolotls. :happy:

Thanks for this! Now I just have to hope Ogo calms down a bit and realizes Nugget can't make babies with him...
