Bare bottom

i was wondering if anyone has any tank setup pictures of bare bottom tanks, and if its the way to go

Some people keep them bare bottom its fine they'll do okay, but when they poop etc. it might look displeasing to the eye...
 
I keep all of my axolotls in bare bottom tanks and tubs. I find it easier to keep clean. I do use some plastic caves and rocks in some of the tanks.
 
I use bare bottom setups with all my aquatic amphibians, I also find it much easier to keep clean and you don't have the problems of ingesting sand or gravel.

I've used just about everything (except sand), and like the others have said, it's easier to clean. It doesn't affect the axolotl one way or another, as far as locomotion or comfort in the tank (unless they ingest gravel, but we all know gravel is bad).
