Bark treatment

My wife recently got me some choice cork bark *(on e-Bay) for my t. kar., but I want to know how to treat it properly to make it safe for the tank. Any advice?

I boil it. Make up a big pot of boiling water and use tongs to hold it under the water for half a minute or so. If the piece is too large for the pot, you can boil each end separately. If you want to be fanatical, scrub with a clean brush after you boil it, then boil again. Or you can soak it overnight before you boil it.
