Live earth worms (night crawlers, some people also use red wrigglers) provide all the nutrients your axolotl needs. If you have large worms, just chop them in half or bite size pieces for feeding. Usually feed every other day and give the axolotl whatever they'll eat in about 2-3 minutes. Blood worms are a good treat and I usually feed mine blood worms about once every 10 days or so.

We have had the best luck with live black worms. Our mommy/daddy lotls always love them and we now have over 100 baby lotls that are looooving them too! We just chop them up small and then feed them through a dropper. Good luck!

i'll never stop recommending earthworms. depending on how much your axolotl can eat, you may have to chop them, but it's a great staple diet for them. mine have always loved them.

Blackworms are Ok for young developing axolotls,
but, except if you've got an easy an cheap source for a big amount of blackworms, it's easier to feed a 5-6 inches axie with earthworms.
