Hello all. I'm sure you've all seen the "big/little dripper" things on the market, but does anyone know how they actually work/how to make a homemade one?

Thanks

hmmm I dont think I have ever seen one. Sorry xx

I have seen one of those recently at a petland here, and im preety sure you put it about the level of the top of your terrarium and the hose will go inside and the gravity should beging the flow. the back said something about how tree frogs drink from the water on leaves rather than in a dish or pond so its like a cheep rain system(as far a i could tell).

They either suction to the cage or sit on top. Gravity takes hold and the water runs down the hose. There is a valve that you turn to adjust the flow. If you think about it all you need is a soda bottle, aquarium air line, and a aquarium air line valve.

Its really easy and thats something right off the top of my head. Im sure with more thought you can think up a cleaner cut way of making one. Well a canister for the water anyway. The tube and valve are seriously just cheap aquarium stuff.

Proper misting should be sufficient however anyway.
