A few shots of the mountain variety of Triturus pygmaeus and his habitat. A very green and robust form of pygmaeus if compared with other varieties (on my preceding thread).

That male pygmaeus is impresive! I can´t wait for my juvies to become aquatic...:S
anyway, great pics! I don´t know how you find such amazing places hehe
 
Interesting again Ruben, I guess that this is the northern distribution limit of T. pygmaeus? I didn't known that they occured in the Guadarrama!

Yes, it's the northern distribution limit of T. pygmaeus in Madrid: Overlapping with marmoratus distribution area occurs in some valleys/slopes of Ávila and Madrid provinces.
