Blacklight

Hello.

Just a quick question. I am using a black light for my axolotls as they are both albino and the white light is too bright for them. Is black light AOK to use? I believe that there is mixed opinions on the blacklight on this forum......

I heard from people that blacklights are bad cause they raise the temperature or something like that but i don't have one so i wouldn't know.

Blacklights (at least flourescent ones) produce UV light. As albino axolotls lack melanin, I would not recommend using blacklights over the axolotls.

Typically regular lights are not harmful to the axolotls as long as they lack a UV component.
