Very nice Han, are these a result of the juveniles you bought last year?
I recently got myself a bunch of juvies:

Yes,the CB2004 females and WC2003 males spawned
twice this year, 60 eggs in june, 40 eggs in august. Apparently Bombina maxima can reach sexual maturity within a year.
Good to see that you finally got some Bombina maxima. Were they CB in the UK?

Yes those in the picture are CB in the UK but I also managed to get a small number from a European friend so have a bit of diversity in my group.

Hey, doe you also have some picture of your setup?

Tanksize: 180x60x40 cm.
Lighting: 4x PLL36w.; basking spotlight.
Filtration: Eheim external filter 500l/h.
Hygienic set-up: 75% water, 25% "land" (slate and bricks), artificial plants.

that is a great setup, Han. How many adult do you have in your setup?

Very nice. Definitely one of the nicest terrariums I have seen for Bombina.

This vivarium inhabits 11 adults, 6 females and 5 males. Right now i'm building them a new tank, 200x60x35, no sliding front-screens and fully
uncovered, lighting hanging above it and with a biological filtration-system.
A larger tank makes it easier to create several
environments within one tank, a swampy part, deeper water, a shallow water-part, slow current part, more "land", more basking-spots.
Although feeding and basking are very gregarious activities, Bombina maxima do like quiet and lonely hide-outs and it's easier to provide those in a larger set-up.

The main course consists of earthworms. Seasonal
side-dishes: moths, slugs, flies, spiders etc.
Bombina maxima are big and voracious eaters and will try anything that moves and seem to fit their mouths.
