I guess they were eating the unfertilized eggs inside the mama.

Woah! That is wild. The poor little girl.
 
The dud eating behaviour inside the mother is indeed fascinating ( if i remember correctly, it´s not necessarily duds they eat, though).
I think it´s curious that so far, the only two times i´ve seen a newborn like that has been in S.s.bernardezi.

Thanx for posting this! And please keep us posted, i would love to know how long the eggs last inside the larva.
