Breeding Behavior???

So for the last four days all of the kweichow's in the group that I have (3.3) have been spending most of their time actively moving about the enclosure, especially in the water. Could this be a precursor to breeding or am I just getting my hopes up? All are eating well and seem fine otherwise.

Hi Foster,
For some reason my mailer does not like your email. I'm sure the email I sent to you some time ago didn't make it. Yesterday I was looking at my T. kweichowensis and thinking "those females look like they are full of eggs". They are spending a little more time moving around and in the water. Some of them especially like to climb on the filter. I have an inside filter that makes a little water fall over a rock.
Maybe it's just the weird weather pattern that has changed their behavior. It's funny that both of us would have the same idea.

Several of mine have been climbing the filter as well. Previously a few of the males would spend time in the water and occasionally a female, but now it's like a party. Maybe it's the holidays!

i have noticed similar behavior in my T. Shanjing. Since it has been warmer they have all seemed to have "woken up" and spend alot of time in and near the water and tearing around the tank.

When my T. shanjing bred they displayed similar behaviour - they were extremely active and spent the majority of their time in the water. This was during pretty warm weather in between june and august.

During the winter when the temperature is constantly low they seem sluggish and are rarely spotted out and about.

My shanjings have not displayed any increased activity (other than the usual begging for food).
