CAn you post a pic of your setup. I just purchased some fire Salamanders that I'm going to be breeding and I would like to have an idea of how to setup the area where the female will be laying her eggs.

Hello Steve,

Salamandra salamandra do not lay eggs as other salamandridae (e.g. triturus); most deposit the larvae into some creek or pond, some (as S.s. alfredschmidti) give birth to full developed salamanders. Depending on the kind of Fire salamander you keep, you should offer a small part with shallow (3-5 cm) water.
